Its main objectives are to provide support for the modernization of custom procedures, giving way to more efficient and transparent means of operating: automation processes, tracking systems and the simplification of all procedures, making progress along the lines of predictability, transparency and facilitation of international trade.
The Express Delivery Service
The express delivery operators offer a guaranteed, quick, reliable, integrated and door to door delivery service, which is tracked and controlled throughout its entire process. Also, the industry simplifies and speeds the product transportation service. It organizes collection, usually at the end of the business day, allows the sender access to information on the progress of shipments from pick-up to delivery, and provides proof of delivery. Where shipments cross international borders, the express industry handles customs clearance as well as the payment of duties and taxes as required.
Worldwide, the express delivery industry represents a fast growing sector of the economy. It currently provides approximately 2.75 million jobs and it directly contributed to the World GDP with 80 million dollars in the year 2008. *
Our Mission
To represent the local interests of the express delivery industry stimulating the communication between the public and privates sectors, in order to achieve progress regarding international trade facilitation.
Our Vision
With collaboration between governmental and private sectors, in line with international trade tendencies, it becomes possible to achieve greater benefits on a national and international level, in turn, ensuring greater efficiency and facilitation of international trade procedures.
